Further progress on my 2015 quilt

Hi all:

I have made a little more progress on my latest quilt in 2015.  Although I have been so busy with school, practicing piano technique, trumpet technique and studying 14th century motets, I managed to piece this much of my latest quilt top.  I still need to add further charm squares around the perimeter of the quilt, but I think it is working so far.

Since I wanted a quilt that was bigger than just a lap quilt, I added a strip of mossy green fabric between the centre part and the outer border.  I was lucky to have some leftover strips of this fabric from my "Sketches of Spring" quilt and I think the colour works well.

I can't help but feel this looks like a very colourful coral reef. Do you agree?

I hope you like this quilt.

  1. Love your quilt! I found the pinterest photo of the jelly roll quilt from Fancy Tiger Crafts and that lead me to your blog. I especially love the Kaffe Fassett fabric you are using. I am going to make this quilt from a Moda line called Summer Breeze III. Will check back with your blog to see further progress. Happy Quilting!
